VISION STATEMENT: Kenwood Academy is a community of students, parents, teachers and local citizens committed to preparing students, including students with disabilities, to succeed as intelligent, creative, and socially responsible global citizens with a lifelong passion for learning.
School Improvement Goals
- Literacy: Improve literacy instruction and achievement by implementing a targeted literacy plan and providing teachers with professional development, planning time, coaching, and standardized assessments.
- Mathematics: Improve math instruction and achievement by providing students greater access to technology and providing teachers with planning time, professional development, coaching, and standardized assessments.
- On Track to Graduation: Increase the course and credit completion rate by providing students with academic supports, providing teachers the opportunity to collaborate and enhancing parent communication.
- School Climate: Improve the school climate by providing students a personalized learning environment, promoting academic success and citizenship and expanding opportunities for student voice and student leadership.
